Please note

I have just returned from the Uk Embassy after reporting my stolen passport.

First thing you need to do is get a police report from a Thai police station stating where and how the passport was stolen plus the number of the passport if you have it, then go to the embassy and fill in the required documentation and pay the fee 8996 Baht for a 48 page passport. Waiting time is 10 days. Please note they will not issue an emergency passport unless you have a flight ticket to travel within the next 5 days.

My extension to stay should be done on the 23rd April but as I don't have a passport that is going to be impossible. I have been given a letter by the embassy to show Thai immigration that I have applied for a new passport and the letter asks them to show lenience in my case.

I still think, however, that Thai immigration is going to hit me with overstay of 5 days as my passport won't arrive until the 29th of April.

I shall keep you up to date with the outcome of this as i have to go to immigration tomorrow in person to plead my case.

By the way I'm on a double entry tourist visa issued 25th February this year.

Cheers
