jessiegriffin1
Hello! I have a 60 day tourist visa and I want to get the 30 day extension in a few days. Can I just go to an immigration office anywhere in Thailand or do I have to cross the border. I am currently in Khao Yai and am thinking about going to the BKK Immigration Office but am concerned with the red shirt demonstrations going on. Is there another office I can go to? If you could give me any tips that would be great. Thanks!
lopburi3
The Bangkok office is out near the old airport and nowhere close to the demonstration main area downtown. You must go to an Immigration office - you can not obtain 30 days by crossing a border.
Mario2008
Do not cross the border, just go to an immgration office and take 1,900 baht, a pass photo and a copy of your passport and departur card with you.
