Featured Replies

What does it cost to make calls to switzerland, germany, uk, etc. from a thai mobile? (per minute)

And are there ways to reduce the cost?

Use Skype

00500 or 008 from an AIS phone and you pay 6/7 Baht/minute to Europe / US

Use Skype

AIS GSM: Use 008 and you'll pay between 5 and 7 baht/minute.

Calling using truemove internation SIM as low as 1 baht per min

Calling your friend in Dubai so he can lead a revolution priceless.

Can also use 009 with AIS, I pay 5b a minute to OZ.

The 007/008/009 prefix codes are poor quality lines.

I use a 'Hatari' telephone card (cost 300 baht in 7-11) and can dial a land-line in the U.K. for 1 baht per minute; perfect quality line.

Access free # available for mobile and land-line and you can pre-programme your phone so you don't have to enter the 16 digit code every time.

www.deedial.com - register your mobile phone with them and use the 'smart call' feature - good service. If you search this forum you will find more information on them. I've posted it before but can't be bothered to type it all out again.

thanks to those who posted useful information!

Now I post a bit of info too:

If you have a business number abroad and want to be reachable in Thailand, don't go for roaming (ok, you all know that already), but neither go for regular call redirection by your phone company!

contact a voip telephony provider in your home country and have a local number installed and switched to your thai mobile. costs will be much cheaper, and you can change the redirection number in realtime via webinterface.

Use VoIP service...definitely much cheaper than using a mobile phone. I use Onesuite VoIP service for all my overseas calls.

Switzerland around 1 Baht

Germany 0.75 Baht
