ASEAN treaty allows vehicles to travel between their countries, but it would seem that bureaucracy has not heard this.

it would be nice to have some CLEAR advice on what docos were needed for each country plus some local tips for exiting and re-entering Thailand.

I would hope from direct experience - people who have ACTUALLY TAKEN A CAR into a particular country.
