Dear all,

Last year (June 2009) I resigned from my job and went back to Europe for a Non-Immigrant-O visa (valid till July 6th 2010) with multiple re-entry as I have a Thai girlfriend and a two year old son. I did my visa run to Cambodia on September 30th 2009, December 23rd 2009, March 19th 2010 and the next visa run will be on June 16th 2010. I went to immigration in Pattaya and asked if it was possible to stay another year if I put TB 400.000 / TB 800.000 in my bank account (before May 16th 2010) so Sepetember 16th 2010 when my visa is expired I don't have to go back to Europe. I can show now that I have Tb 400.000 / TB 800.000 in my Thai bank account for more that 4 months. Immigration told me that I had to go back to Europe again to get a new Non-Immigrant-O visa as 1) I am not over 50 so no retirement visa 2) I am not married and 3) I have no work permit. Other people tell me to put TB 400.000 / TB 800.000 in my bank account to get a extension of one more year as I have a son so NOT necessary to go back to Europe again.

Who is right?

Thanks for all your help / advise.

M.
