Selling Advertisement Space In Thailand

Featured Replies

I run a small e- mag business from Ireland. I am going to be launching a publication on Thailand in August. I want to come to Thailand to speak to some potential advertisers and build some contacts. Can I legally do this?

I have worked as a teacher in Thailand before and the process of getting a visa was pretty easy as my school arranged it for me- now I feel lost.

I don't think I qualify for a business visa! I am considering relocating to Cambodia as I don't really want to continue living in Ireland but realise it would be too complicated to set up my business in Thailand. BUT I would really like to be able to go to Thailand and speak with future clients in person without breaking any laws.

If I can't I guess I will have to sell over the phone and email from a different country- seems crazy!

Any info would be great.

Thanks.

No, you can't do this.

Actively selling products and meeting with clients is working.

To do this you need a Thai employer (can be your own company), be in Thailand on a non immigrant B visa and hold a valid work permit.

Without meeting all the above requirements you would indeed be limited to do this from outside Thailand, either through phone, email or skype conferences...
