Tethering Iphone To Macbook Pro...

Featured Replies

Greetings Applephiles...

I've spent hours and hours at MBK and Panthip trying to locate someone who can tether my iPhone to my Mac...all to no avail...

Seen all the videos on uTube and still no luck...

I would be most appreciative if someone can line me up with someone who can...

Thank you...

Depends on your service provider I think.

I am with DTAC and I can go to settings/network/Internet tethering and just turn it on.

Thanks...the deal is I don't have 'Internet tethering' in settings/network...the phone's from the States...

I'm using One2Call at the moment but will have to check out DTAC...thanks again...

Use DTAC or True.

The iPhone will suddenly download new "network provider settings" when you connect it to iTunes. And after that, you will have tethering enabled. I think there's a way to enable it on AIS too, I think I used MyWi from the Cydia store to do it, but it never really worked very well.

And if you have PDANet installed, uninstall it as it actually breaks tethering. Took me a while to figure that out. In fact, uninstall MyWi as well, just in case....

Once you can see the tethering preference in General->Networking, just turn it on. Then just connect the phone via USB.
