I have been browsing this forum for an hour and can't find the latest answer, sorry. Been working at a school for the last year and a half but my contract ends at the end of the month, I am planning on staying in Bangkok and finding another job but don't see the latest rules on what I need to do for a visa after that. I am a us citizen btw 50 years old, not much money (enough for a while). Don't want to do 15 day runs. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

What type of visa do you have now? You could go to Vientiane and apply for a single or double entry Tourist Visa. On a Tourist Visa entry you would be admitted for 60 days, and then get a 30 day extension for 1900 Baht.

I think it is a non B, (not with me at the moment) ahh 3 days in laos again, same as a year and a half ago, sounds like. Is there an option to go to KL , I forget why but I did that once, too.

If you are on an extension of stay it ends with end of employment and you must immediately leave or obtain a 7 day extension. If you are on 90 day visa entry it will not be effected. For stay a tourist visa would seem the best and they can be obtained in Vientiane or PP easily.

edit: KL is also an option.

If I remember correctly in KL you don't need 3 days is that still the case?
