Hi folks

I'm travelling from Samui in June to visit friends in Pattaya and as my next exit/entry stamps (I have a non imm O visa) are due that month, I thought I'd drive to the Cambodian border while I'm there.

Any advice as to where to do this / useful tips would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Consensus seems to be that Ban Laem (Pong Nam Rong) is friendlier that Aran/Poipet, less hassle anyway. Here's a few notes.

Must say, tho, that the Hat Lek area in Klong Yai, Trat, is also more interesting.

Ah, here's some direction: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/Advice-Visa-...tml&hl=laem

"From Bangkok. hire a motorbike for two days and go to Chanthaburi, and then take Thanon 317 and ask for directions to the border at Ban Laem/Prum at the 711. It's the right-hand turn at the only set of lights at the top of the mountain."
