I am going Airasia to UK via KUL next month , Tune Hotel LCCT overnight as it's a 9AM flight.

฿4616 BKK-KUL-BKK & ฿22930 KUL-STN-KUL cheapest I could find more direct was ฿31800 + tax with Jet airways via BOM

Airasia search day by day to find cheapest.(21June* is 1060MYR return 25June*1060MYR) My Bf is going Etihad using flyer miles. :)

Search Link

Qantas ฿44000 Etihad ฿43715

High prices due to high numbers going to Soccer World Cup SA I am guessing.

Lufthansa have specials on at the moment as well, check out their website.

London starts at 31500baht but you mush purchase your ticket from 10-16 May and travel between 17 May - 23 June.

Like I said earlier Kingfisher (5 star airline) has prices around 32000 if you check out their website.

If you, or anyone else, has flown Jet via Mumbai (Bombay) let us know your experiences. Two of my friends have flown Jet recently. Their descriptions of the staff at Mubai airport are abysmal. Staff going through their property and removing what they want. My friend lost a 200 GBP coat because they thought he had put some money in the pocket. They would not return it. They stole bottles of spirits that he bought in the UK Duty Free.

Has anyone got a good word for them?

I was quoted ฿27,000 ex tax (add ฿12k) on BA If you book well in advance or ฿23,000 ex tax for a departure within 48 hours, Return.

I think the volcanic ash cloud hasn't helped, I have to go back in the late summer/early Autumn & I'm not buying a use it or loose it ticket months in advance until I know what this cloud is going to do. Those prices are from the BA website but I've always found better deals by playing with dates and length of stay at a travel agent for example TG do a "1 week break" deal for ฿17,000 return but go to an agent as I did last year and I got the same price for a two week visit, their regular pricing is way off, in fact TG is normally charge the highest fares you can get. You just be careful of cowboy travel agents, I use the one around the corner from the Royal Orchid Sheraton on Charoen Krung 30.

My son has flown with then twice from LHR to BKK via Mumbai, similar stories of agressive security staff, they x rayed his bag 3 times and took so long doing checks with everyone that the connecting plane was delayed by 1 hour and he nearly missed his connection in England because of it because of it.

Mumbai airport sucks, it must be the only airport I know without an ATM machine and no where that accepts card.

But in asnwer to the OP - and this is not a route I would recommend for you - I am going back to the UK in 2 weeks like this:

Bangkok > Taipei > Hong Kong > Heathrow

Total cost was 36k baht.

I've been looking at my old flights, and tbh, I always seem to pay around the same - it's just the exchange rate that keeps getting worse, so the £ price goes up.

(Oh actually, not quite true - back in 2006 I was paying £240 RETURN to the UK from Tokyo!)
