Emirates extends 'One night in Bangkok' offer and announces special Trans-Tasman fares

Emirates, the Dubai-based international airline, has announced special fares for the launch of its new Sydney-Christchurch connection with return Economy fares from $198, Business from $798 and First Class from $898 (plus taxes at approximately $172 per person as at 8 June).

The new Sydney-Christchurch air link, available from 16 th July, will operate as an extension of Emirates' Dubai-Sydney daily non-stop service and replace the airline's current Dubai-Melbourne-Christchurch routing, which will instead connect Melbourne to Auckland .

Emirates' Christchurch service will provide a convenient air link for Australian business travellers and holiday-makers to New Zealand 's South Island , and also offer cargo belly capacity to exporters.

One Night in Bangkok

For passengers travelling to destinations beyond Bangkok , Emirates has extended its 'One Night in Bangkok ' special until 31st August. The sales special offers one night's accommodation in Bangkok free when flying to or from Sydney to anywhere on the Emirates network via Bangkok .

Participating hotels in Bangkok include the Shangri-La Hotel for First and Business Class passengers, consistently voted best in the world and a preferred choice for business and leisure travellers, as well as the Holiday Inn Silom for Economy Class passengers, located in the heart of Thailand 's commercial, shopping, jewellery and entertainment haven.

First Class passengers will be treated to a range of luxuries in the Horizon Club Room at the Shangri-La, including complimentary happy hour drinks and snacks, VIP check in and out, private purser and 24 hour butler service, private lounge and extra business facilities, meeting rooms and internet access.

The 'One Night in Bangkok ' offer is valid for Economy, Business and First class passengers for journeys until 31 August 2005. The offer can only be availed once either on the inbound or outbound and not both directions.

Emirates has boosted its daily non-stop service from Sydney to Dubai with an additional daily flight from Sydney via Bangkok, resulting in 14 flights per week to Dubai and onward to an array of destinations including Vienna, Paris, Rome, Glasgow, London, Athens and Cairo.

Terms & Conditions for 'One Night in Bangkok ' offer:

This offer is not applicable in conjunction with any other offer such as two for one, companion offer etc. The offer is applicable for Adult fare paying passengers only. It is imperative that the passenger carries the relevant voucher duly stamped by the local Emirates office and hands it to the hotel together with the boarding pass upon check-in to avoid unnecessary delays and problems.

The hotel will not check-in the passengers if the boarding pass is not attached to the specially designed accommodation voucher and if the flight number/sector details provided on the voucher does not match the details on the boarding pass. Emirates will not be responsible for non provision of accommodation if any of the above conditions are not fulfilled.

Bookings may be cancelled without any additional charge up to 48 hours prior to arrival in Dubai . Within 48 hour, a charge of US$ 200.00 per person will be applicable. On receipt of a cancellation or for a No-Show, the concerned station must forward the MCO for the relevant amount within 10 days. Should the deadline not be met, an immediate intimation will be sent to charge the concerned station with the value as appropriate. Passengers who travel J class on routes that do not offer F class but travel beyond Dubai on F class are entitled to the F class offer.

Maximum of 1 Child below 12 years of age can share accommodation with parents in the same room with one rollaway bed provided subject to availability at the time of request. This offer is applicable to all passengers travelling from the Network to SYD/AKL or from SYD/AKL to the Network VIA BKK exclusively on flights operated by Emirates (i.e. code-share flights operated by other carriers under an Emirates flight number are excluded). The offer can only be availed ONCE either on the inbound or outbound and NOT both directions.

First Class Passengers travelling from the Network to SYD/AKL or from SYD/AKL to the Network VIA BKK with Emirates until 31st August 2005 are entitled to one (01) nights free accommodation in a Horizon Club Room, single or double occupancy at the Shangri-La, Bangkok .

Complimentary happy hour drinks and snacks

VIP check in and out

Private Purser and 24 hours butler service

Private Lounge

Extra business facilities meeting rooms, internet access etc.

Business Class Passengers travelling from the Network to SYD/AKL or from SYD/AKL to the Network VIA BKK with Emirates until 31st August 2005 are entitled to one (01) nights free accommodation in a Superior River View Room, single or double occupancy at the Shangri-La, Bangkok .

Economy Class Passengers travelling from the Network to SYD/AKL or from SYD/AKL to the Network VIA BKK with Emirates until 31st August 2005 are entitled to one (01) nights free accommodation in a Superior Plaza Room, single or double occupancy, at the Holiday Inn Silom, Bangkok .

Complimentary accommodation is subject to availability at the time of booking. Emirates will endeavour to secure rooms over the dates requested but cannot be held responsible/liable for non-confirmation of rooms due to the hotel being fully booked or for reasons beyond its control.
