Thank you for the information. My school kept delaying the renewal of our visas/work permits. They want to do all the farangs at once. Well we did them on Weds last week. One had a problem which held us up until Friday so we did not get to apply for re-entry permits the same day we were there. We had to go to labor board for the work permit as one guy was leaving on a flight Saturday. Now that I have my visa/work permits renewed, I want to get a ticket to go back home for a few weeks before the new school year starts in June. I was wondering how the he_l I would get a re-entry permit to leave with the continual closure of the offices or if I even could. Now I can just worry about getting a semi-decent fare for my ticket and get the re-entry permiy at the airport.

Hi, immigration office is closed. How did your wife get in touch with someone?

There is no official source yet on the immirgation website, and I don't expect there will be one soon. reason is that the holiday for yesterday and today was announced in advance and immigration had time to put it on their website. as immigration is now closed, there is no one to udate the website.

However, since they were affected by the declared public holiday for yesterday and today, it is only logical that they will also be closed during the extension of this holiday.

Edit: If in doubt, call 1111. This is the 24 hr. government information hotline and they also answer questions about immigration.

My wife works at the Immigration Office at Chaengwattana and she said that she is working today (Wednesday). She has not been working for the last couple of days but they have opened the office today and it should be open for the rest of the week (unless the political situation is bad in the area).
