Red-Shirt Leaders Turn Themselves In At National Police Office

Well, as for the yellow shirt leaders awaiting trial. The last we heard is that the trial had been postponed for the 8th time. Reason? Sondhi was on holiday and couldn't attend. That is ...for the 8th time. Now tell me if there isn't something wrong with that?

Thaksin is a convicted criminal on the run who refuses to return to serve his term and continuously causes trouble for Thailand, i suppose nothing wrong with that?

Bangkok is being burned down as we speak, but i guess also nothing wrong with that, because its RICH people who own buildings and businesses. and rich people do not work hard, their money just falls from the sky.

But just a little question, what about hundred of thousands of people who now have been out of work and unable to return to work because their work place has been burned down, what about them?

So Thaksin being a convicted criminal after Sondhi led the airports being taken over and government house held hostage for 8 months, and people burning down Bangkok ...that is the reason for Sondhi being given an extension for 8th time based on him being on holiday?

Interesting. I didn't know that. Thanks for telling me :)

Why is everyone condemning the red shirts? Are you all condemning the rioters in Greece, too? Those guys aren't even fighting for democracy. They were fighting for their own greed. At least the red shirts are trying to take back the country that was stolen by the military coup. I guess the guys with the biggest guns and tanks win, in this case that'd be the Thai govt. Very sad. And the Thai economy just went from bad to worse. But maybe that will be good for the dollar exchange. (J/K)

I am wondering why all the newly joined members always appear to be red supporters. I am yet to see a new member who was anti red.

Just very strange

We're not for anyone except fairness. We watched the yellow shirts occupy the gov. building and both airports causing extensive damage with the full complacency of the army. No trials no penalty.. Fair? I think not...

No, you are not, since then you would know that all the yellow leaders was arrested (2 of them) or surrendered themselves (the rest) even before the protest was over and are avaiting trials etc.

There is no proof that the Italian reporter was killed by friendly fire

And it won't be until the government use his power on every media and let only their speech to them... Only 1 voice, only 1 vision, only the government's choice is right, only the government has right, blablabla blablabla and of course every single Thai peoples has to follow this or die ! sounds almost like dictatorship... freedom of media where are you ?

I've posted this 5 times now and NOT ONE red supporter has stepped forward and responded. Kinda shows you what's going on in their empty heads... nothing. They can only repeat their brainwashed rhetoric which has been pounded into their heads since day 1. I dare ANY of you to respond with a level headed, intelligent response, with REAL answers and focus.

I challenge ALL Red Tshirt Gang lovers to let the world know how you would have handled this situation were you in Ahbisit's shoes. Tell us all how you would've dealt with unruly mobs burning your city, terrorizing government buildings and infringing on all others civil rights, attacking the middle class working man and his families all while causing literally billions of baht in loss to the country and all the law abiding citizens as well as irreperable damage to the good name of this otherwise lovely country, my home, Thailand. Tell us WHO you propose from the UDD is of sound mind and intelligence to lead the country forward had all of their demands been met. I DARE YOU!

I am forever angry at these brain dead zombies for destroying so much, for so many innocent in such a short time. True troglodytes and only worthy of quick oblivion.

Rajprasong rally ends

By The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Around 1.15 pm, red-shirt leader Jatuporn Promphan appeared on the rally stage making an passionate plea for the red shirts to end protesting at Rajprasong to avoid further loss of life.

"I can no longer tolerate the cruelty inflicted on us, the red shirts," he said.

What about the cruelty they have inflicted on the city , not to mention the final terrible sensless destruction of peoples workplaces and shopping centre - the surrender is hollow and in my view simply stalled for time while the rabble torched building according to some plan - it didnt happen that efficiently by accident. Either way the leaders are now responsible for

a) any blood spilled on either side

:) all the property damage

c) decemating what is left of the important tourist industry

d) long term damage to the reputation of Thailand

They, and they alone bear full responsibility for it all - figting for political ideals is done by winning hearts and minds and making sure that you have good intelligent candidates for people to vote for.

I know that arguable some goverments do things that justify risking lives to oust them - Hitler, Pol Pot - but whether you accept the legitimacy of the government the people of thailand are not repressed or treated brutally - if it were that kind of government then it would have been over in less than a week no matter what the cost - the red shirts are just lucky that there is not a dictatorship in Thailand - I wonder how Thaksin would have dealt with the yellows protesting in this extreme way?

I just hope that for the sake of my partners family who are still in Bangkok that all will settle down and get quickly back to normal while the criminals rot in jail where they belong

Wake up Thailand - every government you have had for the last 20 years, including the generals, treat you better than the Chinese treat their people and many other similar countries aroung the world

Mja1906 Yes sir they still very much around and free. They’ve got away with siege government house, airport closure and man other act. Didn’t you hear that they were against Abhisit 5 point roadmap? And they have a cheek to advice the government to get tough with red-shirt when they themselves said to the Authority at the time not to use violence with them. This act of selfishness and self-serving PAD goes alongside with government policy, after all who got them a job.

I guess you think its ok for these idiots to be running amok damaging Govt property, shooting at people.

Crazy thing is I have not seen 1 red supporter come on here and condone what the scum bags are doing.... NOT ONE!!!

That tells you the type of mindset the Red brigade have!! Its Sick

It certainly is sick that a minority ruling elite in Bangkok can use the labour force of a majority of country folk to create wealth, yes, I agree with you. If you think it's okay for this majority to have been repressed for decades (not being allowed to voice their opinion because of draconian laws), then I have to disagree with you. Rioting on the streets for a few days is nothing compared to decades of repression. BTW, this is just the beginning...

And stop calling people who post against you a troll, else I'll start calling you a buffalo. Okay? :-)

"Rioting on the streets for a few days is nothing compared to decades of repression." How about centuries or at least since 1932? Thailand is not a poor country. Its GDP ranks 32nd in the world. Actually, It ranks higher than Finland,

UAE, Portugal, Ireland, Hong Kong, Israel, Singapore and New Zealand. Where is the money go? Let starts with the richest man in the world , army generals , crooked politicians and corrupted corporations owned by chino-thai.

by god you're soooo right Dudley! That would completely justify what the braindead red tshirt gang are up to. I think I'll go join them in the burning spree... starting with your house!

Did the yellows try to BURN DOWN THE CITY? I'll wait while you get your answer from Montenegro.

No, but I remember one of the PAD speakers talking about burning down the farms upcountry and another about revoking the voting rights of the poor. But I agree with you, they never said they will burn down their own high-so Metropolis.

Good thing they didn't burn down the Hi-So 4star hotels & plush Bkk restaurants, or your brave so-called 'spokespeople for the poor' Red Leaders would have had nowhere to sleep, wine & dine & ultimately dangle from those Hi-So hotel balconies.

The only time your brave red-leaders have come into contact with real honest working people, is when they stay in those Bkk Hi-so 4star hotels ( April 2010), and a poor Bkk serving girl brings them lobsters to their rooms.

These serving girls are Bangkok working class, and the vast majority of them are neither yellow nor red, they just want to work in peace. And they did so, until your Hi-so red leaders declared war on them.

Ditto your poor farmers. My friend Khun Keay is from a village up North, she was orphaned age 5, and she came to Bangkok age 14 without even a pair of sandals. She worked as street sweeper, then maid, studied secretary, then insurance assistant.

Funny isnt it, that she came from those same poor villages, but she came here to Bangkok and worked hard, with dignity and humilty. Perhaps she should have come here like your Red heroes with their buckets of HIV blood and their guns and grenades and their petrol bombs.

Fact is, there is poor people in every nation on earth. But in those groups of poor people, there are those who work hard and build lives for themselves, and then there are those who choose violence and crime. They are frightened of nothing except an honest days work. Like your criminal, murderer Red heroes.

I'm sure anybody with an inkling of commonsense can conclude on their own that what the yellow shirts did and what these people did are exactly the same. :) I'm not saying that what the yellow shirts did was the right thing to do, or how they did it, but you can't compare this event to taking over an airport. What relevance are you insinuating? :D

"I can no longer tolerate the cruelty inflicted on us, the red shirts," he said.

This sentence is irrational! He should have said, " I can no longer tolerate the cruelty we inflict on soldiers and the people.

The red shirts burn buildings without feeling. That's a show of cruelty. Why didn't he mention that to his red-shirts ally?

By The Nation

BANGKOK: -- Around 1.15 pm, red-shirt leader Jatuporn Promphan appeared on the rally stage making an passionate plea for the red shirts to end protesting at Rajprasong to avoid further loss of life.

"Please understand and I know you all knew I will never abandon you but it is now time to avoid more lives lost because it's our red shirts who got killed," he said.

Jatuporn vowed never to abandon the red shirts nor their political ideology but argued that he would sacrifice himself in order to save lives of the red shirts.

Red-shirt leader Natthawut Saikua said as their leader, the red shirts must now end their rally.

"I can no longer tolerate the cruelty inflicted on us, the red shirts," he said.

Natthawut said the red shirts should conserve their energy and determination in order to fight another day.

He said the red-shirt leaders would sacrifice their freedom in exchange for the safety of their fellow reds.

"Please heed my call for an end to the rally so that we can continue fighting to advance democracy for the future," he said.

He called for the reds to start dispersing and leaving the rally site via routes leading to the National Stadium, where the government had busses waiting to take them home.

Thousands of red shirts appeared emotional and unwilling to disperse.

I saw a heart-renching short interview on TV last night. It was an old Thai guy with tears in his eyes.

He said he'd wanted to go home for a long time but the bosses wouldn't let him go. He was relieved to be on the bus he was sitting in whilst the interview took place. He also mentioned that he didn't get the money he was promised. He finished by saying "never again". (of course - all in Thai).

It was sad on a number of levels. I bear people like him no ill will - but the people that manipulated him - that's a different story.

Funny to read how one of the nations brain dead reporters are blaming the riots on Thaksin.

Heaven forbid if Thaksin were to be hit by a bus, this reporter would have to actually use his brain to determine the cause of the riots instead.

You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. This could also be said about reporters & some posters. :)
