Arcades In Bangkok

Whats the arcade scene like in Bangkok.

I'm a big fan of arcade machines in the UK. You know the good fight-em ups you can plan for a quid. And the cool little titles in Time-cop, where you have the actual gun.

What kinda arcade machines do they have in Bangkok. Are there large arcades? How much do they cost per game? (about 50p, to 100p in the UK).

They have them in Shopping Malls - usually near the food hall - which is either at the top or bottom. They have all the normal machines. Much cheaper than in the UK, but you'll go through 10Baht coins pretty quickly on some machines.

They also have these wiered machines (Japanese I think) that I can't make head or tail of. Pretty colours and graphics like kids and young girls like to play. Beyond me.

A lot of the kids in BKK (and other places) use the internet cafes to play PC games - it done by the game or clock. Works out much cheaper, but obviously not a good as dedicated arcades.

By the way - I'm sure you'll find much more interesting things to do in LoS than play Vids.
