sunshine51
Here's a bit of advice for the posters on all 8 (currently) pages of this thread... Google Corbis. When you get to the Corbis website you will see links on how to become a contributor. Download all the info. This will be settings for your computer, what Corbis is looking for...etc...etc. Save what you download! Read what you download and set up your computer/photoshop accordingly and then submit your best work. Good Luck. I shoot with Corbis and other agencies for a living; what I have seen here today makes me wish I did this photography instead of "editorial" photography...which means mainly wars, natural/un-natural disasters and that kinda stuff. Keep shooting folks and keep posting. PM me if I can be of further assistance. SS51

sunshine51
@ the blether... That Myna in your bottom shot has that...."Who's food am I gonna try to steal now?" or "Who am I gonna pester today?"...look. I love Myna's...some folks hate em. But you have to admit...they're strange and funny at the same time! ss51

sunshine51
@anguid... You should hear what my lady calls em....HAH! "Get out of house!" is mild...as she runs after em with a broom. She uses a bamboo pole to chase me around when I deserve it... nuff said!
sunshine51
One before bed.... "An aggressive and confident bird, the common myna has adapted well to the urban environment, making it one of the most abundant and familiar birds in Asia." In other words...a darn nuisance...obnoxious at times also...and yes...funny!

theblether
A vicious battle started at Tiger Kingdom between these big beats determined to stalk their prey...... Thins were getting really serious as they observed the slippery creature from the deep..... The pounce, the capture and victory!!! A yummy bit of wood...... The big guy wasn't for sharing such a delectable prize..... But alas.....the prey escaped.......Oh well, better luck next time.

sunshine51
A little help please... This plant grows on our property and the flowers bloom only at night. They begin to open at around midnight then reach maximum bloom around 90 minutes later. By sunrise, when the entire sun is above the horizon...the flowers wilt very rapidly and by noon are "dead". This plant rarely blooms, perhaps once every couple years, and usually only has 1 or 2 flowers each "bloom". This year we had a "bumper crop" of the complex flowers...18 in total. There is a mild aroma they give off that's very nice..kinda like jasmine and banana mixed together. It has never born any fruit. Total time from bud opening to death is about 8 hours...then the shows over. We would like to know the name of the plant and anything about it if any amateur or professional botanists on TV know this rather interesting plant. What pollinates it etc...etc. No apologies for the pix quality...we heard some noises on our plot, went to have a look, saw a couple cats and then saw the blooming flowers; only had cameras with built in handphones to capture the event. Perhaps the next time this plant has flowers I'll be ready and can capture better pix with one of me "proper" DSLR's. Only 2 or more years to wait...... Cheers & Thanks in advance, ss51
