i heard it is possible to rent a smallish colour tv for about 600 baht a month. But is it possible to do better than that? Where?

What sort of deals are available?

Or is it better to get a used one from somewhere? Where should i try?

Thanks for your help.

That depends on the set specs. How large a screen do you NEED ?

You can get a new 19 or 21 inch I believe for about 4000B

Used likely depending on age and condition for a little as 500B.

My 29 inch Sony cost 18000B.

So is that 600B/month for a 42in plasma or what ??

That would be a good deal.

Just buy one. Dont rent. Dead money. IMHO. TVs are cheap enough here. How long are you coming for? 1 month? 1 year? I'd say if its a no more than 2 months then rent or buy 2nd hand. But if its any longer then just buy a new one. You will be pissed off if you buy 2nd hand and it fukcs up after a week or so. Which is known to happen. Anyway. If you are coming on holiday. Then fukc watching TV anyway.
