CNF55
CNF55 Pls. read carefully nex time as I've NOT mentioned any penalty on Klinsmann....... This is the dive I'm talking about..........http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tB7Y33VteME Mea culpa - will be more careful next time. Watched the video and agree that the acting was worth an Oscar - but I nonetheless I think it was a foul.
samuibeachcomber
i do wish people would stop referring to him as 'JT'. nothing personal at you smokie, just mean the world at large. it makes him sound cuddly and likeable rather than the massive, massive cun_t he is. It does leave interpretation open though Jerk and Tosser come to mind dont understand why everyone hates JT so much. He's a great defender, should still be england captain and plays his heart out for england and chelsea, more than can be said for gerrard. He has on the pitch been Englands best player so far IMHO, its just off the pitch where he just doesnt seem to have socials skills linked to a human that are is problem. ie his recent press interview .... every players knows to talk a lot without saying much. samuibeachcomber
Just have to agree to disagree with you on this one, gerrard has played many games for england and liverpool where he just might as well have not ben on the pitch, whether cos of injury or domestic problems, often he just does not perform to his ability. But i agree his heart is in the right place. hansum
BBC reporter on the Italians going out just went on about how no Inter Milan players were picked despite their successful season. Now considering the champagne socialists at the BEEB spent twice as much money on reporting the WC then ITV .... taxpayers money i may add .... youd think the ignorant w4nker on the jolly would have done a little research to actually see how many Italians were regulars in the Inter team. It'll be a great day for football when the PC BBC loses its WC TV rights it gets through antiquated no doubt illegal anti competition laws. Gotta agree with Samui on this one Stevie. Terry isn't one of my favourite people but did you see him put his head in the way of a boot the other night. Something he does regularly. Credit where credit is due IMO.

I agree there's not many Italians worth bringing from Inter apart from Davide Stanton and Mario Balotelli the rest are past their sell by date. Lippi should rightly be criticised for not bringing Balotelli though, especially given the insipid performances of Gilardino and Jaquinto.
noel2499rk
Ciao Italia and vaffanculo home! Team of lazy directed by an arrogant coach. He left home many of the best and in the bench another bunch. Italy deserve completely to go back home. Is not of consolation we go away together with France and England (next match). :annoyed: Mentality of the team was summed up in the way, having just scored a goal and with precious minutes remaining, one of your players feigns being hit in the face in the goal net and wastes a good three or four minutes trying to get a booking out of it. Amazing. Thanks for your encouraging words re England. The diving, time wasting and faking injury was just as bad from the Slovakians, who played brilliantly but got very cynical in their attitude in the last ten minutes. Pretending to get hit in the face is becoming very popular and on the whole is a very successful tactic for getting people sent off, look at Keita for Ivory Coast and the Chilean player who got Behrami sent off for Switzerland, so expect to see more of it in the later rounds. The referees have to start booking players who go down clutching there faces and rolling around while peaking through their fingers hoping to see the red card getting pulled and then when it comes out jumping to their feet. Look out for Uruguay doing the most cheating especially Saurez up front who has so far pulled of the best dive of the tournament, the best in that he won a penalty and got the South African keeper sent off. Yes i do have to agree with you there, particularly in terms of the last ten minutes. I'd love it if football adapted the rules from rugby whereby they have no injury time added but simply stop the clock when the ball is out of play. Would bring a stop to all this terribly boring (and terribly frustrating if you are the opposing team) time wasting. Miiyai46
Talking about rugby "rules", why don't they add the instant reply on football as well. Last night Skrtel did save a ball that in my opinion was over the goal line. samuibeachcomber
Agree, video replay for ball over the goal line, penalty decisions when not clear cut also.Add the so called fouls where players role around in agony, make them watch their theatrics, everyone can then laugh at them and shame them too. noel2499rk
The rugby rule I want to see brought in, is when a player goes down injured the game is not stopped and the physio just runs on treats the player while the game carries on all around. Then if the physio thinks its serious he can ask the ref to stop the game. Would put a stop to players faking injuries to slow the game down if their under pressure and using it as a time wasting tactic.

Just because it's the most popular sport in the world, does that mean changes can't be made? When they introduced the rule about back passes it was the most popular sport in the world then as it is now. Didn't stop a change being made and a change that has drastically improved the game. I don't agree with having physios treating players on the pitch, but i do think something needs to be done about injuries feigned and time wasting. Stopping the clock seems so logical to me. What's the downside?
