June 18, 201016 yr Hi Anyone know the best place to change some GBP into THB? Where exactly is the best exchange rate? Thanks TJK
June 19, 201016 yr The banks usually give the best legal rates. Of the one's in Hua Hin, I think Bank of Ayudhya is within the top two (at least) for best rates. They are all pretty close in exchange.
June 19, 201016 yr In the past, I've found that the two 'exchange booths' near the City Beach Hotel have offered the best rates. The Banks always seem to offer less than their own booths; which I've always found strange.
June 19, 201016 yr Don't waste precious holiday time running all over town looking to save 35p on 50 pounds. Banks have to be competitive. They all have F/X windows, no search parties necessary.

Thanks for the info
July 7, 201016 yr The banks are all within <deleted> hairs of each other. It really doesn't matter. I assumed from your question that you were here on holiday as people on a non-holiday basis would know the banks give rates competitive with each other. There are no "rogue" outfits giving F/X bargains. Just walk around the market area and look in their windows. Edited July 7, 201016 yr by johnnyk
July 8, 201015 yr Johnnys right, there a million banks and atms in HH, you might save half a bht in every pound, do you really need to?<br>
July 9, 201015 yr I was told just yesterday by someone new to town (who actually went around and checked all the bank rates) that Bangkok Bank had the best rates (he was transferring British pounds) from an offshore account so I don't know if that applies to a simple walk up exchange or not.
