Allthough it's called an online application, after your girlfriend has submitted it online she has to print a copy of the application and take it to Regent House where she also submits the supporting documents, pays the fee and has her biometric details taken.

She can either make an appointment online or just pitch up an join the queue.

so if we do the paper application,we do not send it off???,we make an appointment and take the application, supporting documents and payment to the appointment when it is given for the bio data??

or do we send it off before making an appointment??

You do not send anything off; all applications have to be submitted in person so that biometrics can be taken.

You cannot make an appointment unless you complete an online form.

If you do complete the online form you have the option of making an appointment or simply turning up to wait. Either way you need to print out the form and take it with you along with the supporting documentation.

If you complete a paper form you cannot make an appointment, so you would have to turn up and wait.

See How to apply.
