Back at home it was U2, had the tickets but due to an emergency had to scalp them.

Vanessa Mae (especially)

Whitney Houston

The Eagles

but work prevented it.

I missed The Pougues in Bremen, Hamburg & Gothenburg. Went there each time. Each time I was too pissed to go. Bit like the film ' Pale Rider'

Jeez...I've missed half my life through booze.

The loudest group i've seen were 'The Buzzcocks' in Canterbury's Marlow Theater

Pink Floyd at the Pulse concert, London 1994.

Not just the music (Dark Side of the Moon) but what a light show!

Also the Newport Jazz Festival 1958, specifically Anita O'Day and Thelonius Monk. It was made into "Jazz on a Summer's Day".

I have remembered a concert that I wish I had been there. It was televised so I watched a bit on the box, but surely not the same. It was the opening of the New Coventry Cathederal, when Tangerine Dream played their Richochet Album. I saw them do it later in Bremen, but I would imagine live in the magnificant accoustical setting of the Cathederal was a feast on the ears.

Have you got a date for this concert?

Because I think you may be just confusing a special concert with the opening of the cathedral.

I was at the opening of the cathedral (nowhere near HMQ who was also there) but I don't remember the Dream.

Without checking - but remembering I was about 14 or 15 at the time - puts the opening at 1963-4.

Doesn't this pre-date the Tangerine Dream?

The concert date was 04/10/1975 and it was after they did something to the Cathederal, can't remember what, might have been something to do with the acoustics though. Sorry, I should have said re-opened.They had played in York Minster before that. What I have just realised looking it up is that BBC broadcast the concert about 10 months after the event.

I was in Pattaya a few years ago for songkhran.......I heard that a Thai singer was doing a concert for about 100thb a ticket.....couldnt fix the details though and went country instead.....the day we left was the day the concert was on....the singer was Jindala Punlab.....my most favourite of Thai singers....I was very disappointed not to see that one.

She also did the big one on Beach rd a few years ago and sang a few songs with Bird.....I wasnt in Thailand for that one
