Gel Batteries In Bangkok?

Featured Replies

Hi,

a) what's the best battery available (type / A/h rating / brand)?

B) Is there a mail order business selling bike parts?

Thanks,

Chris

Hi

For what??

Ditto, and dimensions:)

Yuasa is a popular battery brand, but I think any brand should be OK as long as its the same tech as your original.

Assuming you have a newer bike with a gel-cell battery then you should just try a shop selling parts for your style of bike.

Or I recall Amorn Electronics has a gel cell battery selection in Chinatown at the Old Siam Plaza shopping mall.

Well, I would rather pay 200 Baht for s&h than spend half a day doing into Bangkok and searching for parts.

The battery was charged some weeks ago. Then I parked the bike for 10 days. Now it only makes a cklicking sound when I press the starter button, but the indicator lamps (neutral / oil) are on.

Today was a beautiful day - cooler than usual after the nocturnal downpour.

Somehow, I managed to lose the ignition key on the way back from the underground parking.

This happening a long way from home would be much worse.

Hope a local shop can source a gel battery for the 20 years old bike.

Cheers,

Chris
