"Middle Spoon"?

Featured Replies

So... I read the article on Colera outbreak. As expeced, the article points out to eat food hot. It then advises eating with a middle spoon. Someone want to clarify that? :)

Use a separate serving spoon instead of everyone diving in with their own spoon and thus spreading bacteria.

Ah... no spreading germs. Darn :D

Thanks! Love cultural idioms.

A totally unexceptable and filthy habit..

Apparently it means use a separate serving spoon. Rather than everyone dipping their own spoon into a communal bowl. I thought it meant use a metal spoon opposed to wooden chopsticks or fingers.

Should have read "metal spoon"

No, way! Where is the cultural adventure in, "metal spoon"? :D "...See, the Middle spoon is the spoon that gets in the middle of your plate and the food bowl so no one gets germs... Yes mom, I know it is called a serving spoon, but that's too normal for other cultures." Now, that's the way to explain it to the envious folks back home!

I think it means that... if the girl who takes your fancy is looking a bit ill, you should also purchase another girl... that way, during the night when you want to snuggle together in your sleep, you can keep the extra girl in between as a human colera barrier, a middle spoon...

Not required if you are only looking for short time company, where spooning is not required...

Always helpful,

Daewoo
