sports pread betting is an unusual topic I was following recently.. using person 2 person betting sites where inexperience and emotion make bets and odds not bookies.. Then covering one bet against another so it was a no lose situation..

Sure you can make money on the internet by betting on sports with an online sports account at one of the reputable sportsbooks.  I do.  In fact, I sell my picks if anyone is interested?

If you are getting so rich with your brilliant picks, why do you need to sell them?

Did I ever say I was "getting rich?" No, I said I was making a living and there is a huge difference. I do not need to sell my picks to make money. I do it to offer an actual chance to win for people that can't do it alone because they don't have the know-how or a system. I will not simply give the information away because they information I provide is valuable and will help you make a lot more money than I am charging. Information is power man, but it isn't free!

money is everywhere, you just need to know how to pick it up :D

- by myself

:D

Oh how I hate teasers :o

as others have said before in this thread, it can be hard to make money through the internet in Thailand. so if someone's doing it successfully, if that person shares their "secret" with hundreds or thousands who then do the same thing, nobody will be successful.

reminds me of something i saw when i was living in Spain (where i grew up). one shop opened selling sweets and candy at the beach. there were at any time at least 3 dozen people standing outstanding for their turn to buy candy, no joke. within a month or less, there were 4 or 5 other shops nearby - within less than 300 feet of eachother and then slowly, one by one, they started closing down until there was none left.

Once upon a time, a king carried by his slaves wanted to cross a rope bridge. He called all his slaves and asked, "Is it safe? Someone go ahead and cross."

All but one stared at each other and began to point and say, "Your excellency, send him, he is wisest and can tell you if it is safe." Each poor slave pointed at another, and another. Finally, one said, "Let me go across, sire."

Having crossed the bridge, he cut the rope.

I make the majority of my income on the betting exchanges. In particular, the opportunities to bet that present themselves in-running during an event, and the possibility to trade your position depending on changing circumstances, has made it very profitable for me.

Eddie,

Sounds like you have found what suits you. I reckon I have too but it took a few years of hard work just to find IT. I bet IT didn't just fall in your lap either!

People want something quick and easy without any effort. With trading I found (probably like betting exchanges) that it took ages to sift through all the gobbledygook and to have the confidence to believe you can do it.

Cheers, BaanOz.

Anyone tried exporting stuff using ebay as a shopfront?

Just an idle thought. I'm beginning to hate my day job.

Depth,

As an Aussie I've bought stuff off EBay and I've seen plenty from Hong Kong/Singapore in the electronics department. I'd rather pay a bit extra and get it delivered locally. Peace of mind if there are any problems.

I'm sure others do buy from OS but there maybe import duties added to the price too. I reckon it maybe limited.

Cheers, BaanOz.

I make my living 100% from the internet and working from home. At the moment I live in the UK running UK based websites.

At the moment I have 3 websites all with a UK (only) market place. I am currently adding new sites and looking for a worldwide product or licence. The bigger the market the bigger the potential revenue so limiting to one country is not optimum.

I sell TWO things - advertising and other peoples products via affiliate schemes. The former requires highly relevant info and high visitor numbers and the latter requires a lot of trial and error until you find products that people WANT and are competitive to sell. The first product I sold was selling about 1000 a month at a commission to me of £7.98 a unit. Howevber by the time everyone else jumped on the bandwagon I was paying out £7.50 a unit in advertising costs. Had I perservered I would probably now be running that product at a loss.

The BEAUTY of the net is that (within reliability limits) I could run these sites from anywhere in the world. I dont have export costs as I only sell other peoples products. If I sold my OWN producsts I could probably make more money but would have export and storage costs and then I WOULD have to run the busines from the UK.

As a mater of interest I gross around $7,800 a month with around $3,000 in expenses (mainly marketing) so a current net income of just under $5,000. A long way from a fortune but, as other posters have said, a good living in Thailand when I finally move.

For what they are worth my "tips" would be as follows

1. Get a REAL product even if it is someone elses.

2. Try and think worldwide simply because that way your customer bases is larger. I have a friend who sells a thai product (direct not as an affiliate). He started out exporting to the UK and shifted around 70 units a month at a profit of around $40 a unit. After a while he changed emphasis to the worldwide market (after all what the internet is supposed to be about) and now sells around 1000 unit at about $34 profit per unit (he now has staff to pay but that is partly offset by lower export costs to some countries).

Get a Google Adsense account - its like a licence to print money. You only have to look at all the "Ads by Google" on this website top see how prolific it has become.

You can apply here http://www.google.com/adsense

If you are REALLY serious buy this ebook and course:-

http://wasana.1insider.hop.clickbank.net

it costs about $60 but gives serious tips and strategies on making money from Google Adsense adverts especially on setting up pages that can carry high paying adverts - some allegedly payingt the site owners $17+ for every click now, though that is very extreme and I never actually seen it. I DO regulalry see $3+ a click so 100 clicks a day makes for a nice living.

I did a search on ways to work on the internet.

What I got seemed like a con. Telling me that I could earn up to $100, but first I had to buy some book.

Has anyone here ever made money on the internet?

NN

Yes, I have made a considerable amount of money on the internet. In fact I have written a book detailing every step.

Your Price: $100 or 2 for $300
