TiggerFish
<snip> Visa processing times are shown in timescales from 2- 120 days. The days are expressed in working days. "Working days do not include": weekends, local public holidays and any other non-working days; where appointments are required, the time taken to obtain an appointment. Taken from the Border and Immigration website. I still think 120 days could actually mean 24 calendar weeks from the way the above is described...? This waiting is making me mad now...! Hi Jason, can't agree more, this waiting is driving me mad too, not a great deal we can do about it though.... Other than wait some more of course. This page shows the SLA that they aim for, 95% in 12 weeks and 100% in 24. Apparently June is the peak month for applications of all types so I'm not alarmed that the current processing times are way out there just a little disappointed. I think having the list is both a blessing and a curse. If it wasn't for the fact that I know everyone else is experiencing long waiting times I would be pestering the Embassy by now thinking that something was up. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to this thread. Good luck all..
chiang mai
I spoke with Mrs CM today and she tells me she finally picked up her passport from the Phuket office, her work hours had prohibited her doing this sooner - she tells me that her visa was granted, we asked for 15 August and they gave us 2 September. TiggerFish
Just checked online tracking and Guess what...Nothing ! 12 weeks tomorrow It says Here "The UK Border Agency at The British Embassy in Bangkok is currently receiving a high volume of visa applications. Please help us to continue to provide a good service by not contacting VFS or The British Embassy unless your visa application has exceeded our published processing times." "We are currently processing applications within our published targets of 15 working days for non-settlement and 12 weeks for settlement applications" So that says to me once 12 weeks has past we can start to chase them. However quite how one goes about this and how much good it would do is an unknown. The telephone numbers posted on the Embassy website come with the note "(Please note the Consular/Main Embassy lines are NOT for visa enquiries) " and the email address for visas goes of to vfs global and promises a response in 20 working days. What to do ? It's most frustrating ! As I mentioned in one of my earlier posts, it's nice to know that I'm not alone. Chin up all, best foot forward, we'll get there in the end. Mercury
That statement is akin to the London Underground stating that "There is a good service on all London Underground lines" when you have just been delayed 30 minutes, you find that your connection is not possible and your destination station is closed. Will let you know when I do. Now I'm nervous. Oh My Goodness its terrible isnt it! ive just sent my man off on the bus to bangkok and i feel like hes heading off to war or something! Are you by chance a tall white guy with not much hair who has a daughter around 8 or so? when we went to apply for the visa a little girl was playing with my 2 young daughters and just wondered if it was your family? Good luck and lets hope we both get the answer we want. Skeets

No, that's not me, I'm a short white guy without much hair (painting a pretty picture there) with a stepson of 7 years old. Unfortunately I was not with my wife when she submitted the application on the Monday as I had to fly back the day before. Good luck skeets, I hope you get the right result this time.
