i might get myself a non-o this time.. i was wondering.. t he 400 000baht, can it be in her account instead of mine(i dont use it and i dont wanna waste 400 000baht for a full year in a crappy kasikorn account)

or is it fine if she has a proof of income of 40 000b a month instead of me?

If you are talking about a 12 month extension based on having a Thai Wife (not a visa).

It has to be a bank account in your name.

It has to be your income.

If you are talking about a Non O Visa there should be no financial requirements if you apply in your own country.

For the "extension of stay", it has to be your income or your savings account. Except for the qualifying period, you can have the money in any kind of account.

Once the 1st, 2nd, etc., 12 month extension has been approved (stamped in ones passport?), can the 400,000 baht (800,000 baht for Retirement extension/visa) in the bank account be used as I see fit just as long as I have the bank account back up to the required 400,000 / 800,000 baht level, 2 to 3 months before the next year's extension date or must the two bank accounts never go below the 400k or the 800k levels at all during the year?
