I am seeking accurate info on school term/holiday dates for remainder of this year, and next year if possible.

Also would like to know the short official closures of 1 day or more - and Thai holiday name/reason if appropriate.

Further, I am presuming Thai Christian schools (i dont mean international farang type schools) will have different dates to Thai Buddhist schools?

In particular, anyone know the dates for Sammuk Christian Accademy, near Bang Saen?

Many thanks in advance.

I quess you have asked the school? if not...... do it, as different times off from province/area/city/school.

Roughly

March, April, 15 first days in May

October

All the Public holidays

BUT the headmasters can ask to the children to come during one couple of days which should be vacations.

The MOE sets guidelines (which Geo lists above), but the director of each school decides exactly when that school will be opened or closed.

Generally speaking, schools will be closed during official Thai holidays,

2010 Holidays

but school directors can still schedule special activities for the teachers and sometimes for the students during those days. The only way to be really sure that a specific school will be closed is to check with that school. However, most school calendars are passed out with the proviso: "Some of the dates may change".
