I fear

a.) fear itself,

b.) exceptionally large spiders (over 15cm radius), and

c.) heights (especially non-natural formations - I am a lot more comfortable with ravines and vertical hillsides, than transparent elevators and huge shopping mall arcades).

I am consciously working on coming to terms with height and spiders. As for fear itself, I fear it is just too fearsome.

But then I am a bit of a sesquipedalian myself...

So is that a fear of "big words you don't know the meaning of" or the fear of bronchoscopy?

Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia is ironically the fear of long words... Just imagine;

Patient: Doc, doc, I do not like big words...

Doctor: Ah, you have Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia!

Patient: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGHH!!!

Snakes... I hate them...

Once when was a kid, under 10 years old actually, I was swimming in a creek in the Australian bush when my father called out to me to swim quickly and get out of the water... I looked around and there was this big tiger snake swimming directly at me...

I reckon I broke all speed records trying to get out of its way!

I've never liked them since.

Scared of ghosts.........well not to say I believe in them but have friends who claim they have. Don't want to see one!

Not scared of humans though.

I find cockroaches to be frightning.
