Hehe. I remember those. They were due to shoddy construction though. Shortly after, the Korean government decreed that the Ministry responsible for overseeing and inspecting construction projects (Ministry of Rubble?), had to employ Western engineers as inspectors, to make sure that no corners were being cut.
