Noticed from another post today that TOT referred a customer to the following web site to check their internet speed/connection: http://www.speedtest.or.th/

It's primarily for checking your in-Thailand speed against various Thai ISP servers like TOT, True, CAT, 3BB, CXLoxInfo, etc., and a Seattle/USA and Singapore site. To select a different Thai ISP server to test against, after running the initial speed test click the icon next to City and you will be offered various Thai ISP servers to test against.

The site is in Thai so you should have your Google Translate turned on.

I've found you can only enter the captcha and the test will run...really no need to enter speed and city (but I would)...guess (I hope) that info is used by the website to track/evaluate tests.

Wouldn't using google translate distort the results quite a bit?

No, it just helps to turn the Thai language into the language you choose/set up on Google Translate (like English)....helps to understand what the Thai words are telling you/asking you to select....doesn't have nothing to do with the speed test results.

OK- Thanks- I would have imagined it would have routed through the google servers.
