I suggest you just breakdown and buy a new one.. then you can tell us how it has helped you lose the weight you cannot lose riding a big bike.

I also suggest you break down again and buy a bicycle to burn some cals off..but really walking is the best.

I met a guy here in Chiang Mai who claims to have lost 40 kilos in doing a walking routine each day. it took him 3-4 months to lose it all but he did do it. 5 kms a day he claims he has walked. running has proven to be bad for your knees. and with all that weight you have now.. better you walk as i do.

My compound is 100 meters long and 45 meters wide. I walk the drive way each day with my 30+ TRD females following my every step back and forth at least 10 to 20 times each day.. that is only 2 kilometers a day but I am working up to doing 5 kilos a day just in my driveway. It costs me nothing but new shoes or rubber sandals.

Of course diet is also key to losing weight and the right excercise as well besides walking or running.. Check out www.Beachbody.com or www.p90x.com this guy is like 50 to 55 and just look at his body.. We all would love to have a body like his. I bought the series of dvds and am working on it now.. It is intense so be forewarned it is not for sissies.

Stop drinking beer and booze if you do now and flush each and everyday with 100% water.. Stop smoking is wise as well if you are a smoker.. I plan on stay here past 2047.. I would love to see 2050.. I will be 103 then.. i want to be on a Sportster then..as it is big enough for me.. That really nice black on at Richie's RichCo in CM will do the trick..

Good luck

Had some health issues awhile back, and I couldn't run, walk, or bicycle much. Certainly couldn't take the risk of falling off my road bike or getting hit by all the polite, conscientious, and law-abiding motorists of LOS.

I broke down and bought a little stationary trainer and mounted my bicycle on it. Spent hours on the thing, watching sports on TV. Really cheered me up and helped me with recovery. I still have it and use it on rainy days.

Not sure if you can get one from the bicycle shops in Phuket, but I think they'll order one for you.

Get well soon. Cheers.

edit: ps, I now also use a treadmill, but IMHO, the bicycle is the best low-impact and cost-efficient aerobic equipment I've tried (providing one already has a bike)
