August 2, 201015 yr Does anyone know a bank in Pattaya where I can exchange thai baht for dollars? I've been to 2 banks already and they didn't have any dollars.
August 2, 201015 yr Author Also I only need $20. The exchange shop I went this time only had $100 and up.

August 2, 201015 yr Try the Gold Bank in soi Rungland, they will change Thai baht into nearly any currency you want. Its a Thai run money changer, looks like a gold shop from outside. Cheers.

August 2, 201015 yr ^ That's Yenjit. Been there for years and was always the go-to place for forex of any amount of currency. I bought my first house here from the owner who's kids were at Uni in the UK. The kids cashed my post-dated personal cheques in the UK and when they confirmed they had the funds, another installment on my house purchase was marked as paid. It beat me having to bring money into Thailand to buy the house and her having to remit funds from Thailand for her kids living expenses; a 100% win-win. Edited August 2, 201015 yr by NanLaew
