bannork Posted August 21, 2014 Posted August 21, 2014 It's all over now for the high octane rock n' roller, deceased but never forgotten, Johnny Winter
tigerfish Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 3 good bands and equally 3 great new songs, in my opinion of course.
arunsakda Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Can't get it to embed.... 1982 Andy Summers and Robert Fripp " I advance masked "

bannork Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Kevin Ayers, catchy, whimsical, a lover of tropical climes, should have lived in Thailand really. http://youtu.be/FO6xtYtMdhI 1
tigerfish Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 topical if your in Reading or Leeds this weekend.

jacky54 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Jintara- a mainstay of Issan music for the last 25 years. http://youtu.be/_KseypAiZk0 26 years, I have seen her 120 times, the jewel in the crown. You picked her greatest ever morlam song, hat off to you sir! I think warn puen kean jot mai is her best luktung song, never heard another sing try it, from her 2nd album
bannork Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TDlQlzgsKQU Actually Jacky her third album which is not on youtube, really grabbed me all those years ago. it's pure fast, rhythmic morlam but prior morlam sing, just her, the organist and drummer really belting it out. Fantastically powerful singing, I had the cassette for years but eventually lost it and have never seen the album on youtube. ฺBut here's an example of her talent, simply superb http://youtu.be/EB3yc9ktb78
jacky54 Posted August 26, 2014 Posted August 26, 2014 Warn puen jot mai was definitely her 2nd album. I almost posted the lam long, pity she does not do material like this now as her latest album is not very good. Rak Sali is from 1999 I think.
