The Thin Ice

I have a bit of a request now, especially for aficionados of jangly Thai guitar rock.

About 5 years ago, when I was living in Bangkok, I would occasionally hear on the radio a male Thai singer with what sounded like high energy 90's indie guitar rock of the likes of Teenage Fanclub or an upbeat Wedding Present. Invariably, however, nobody I asked was able to tell me who was the singer - except one time a taxi driver suggested it was a band called Mai Thai, although I was never able to find anything about them so I suspected he misunderstood me or I misheard him.

Just last month I heard in a taxi a singer who sounded very similar - and this time I managed to discuss him with the taxi driver. He thought that the singer was called Moon Ken (or at least, that is how he pronounced it) but, once again, I can find nothing on him. Does the name sound familiar to anyone?
