Gordon will be sadly missed by his many friends and colleagues. I pay tribute to the way that Gordon discharged his duties as Consul throughout his time in Thailand. I send my deepest condolences to Gordon's widow, Sue, and his family. I had been in touch with Gordon several times over the past few weeks, and he had been most helpful to my enquiries. I met Gordon several years ago, and he struck me as a highly professional gentleman.
