Chrome Browser - Flash Doesn'T Work?

Featured Replies

I have recently adopted Chrome as my browser of choice. If I go to the Adobe website it says 'Your Google Chrome browser already includes the latest Adobe Flash Player built-in.' My problem is that many sites still say 'missing plugin' when I visit, ie. flash doesn't seem to be working, at least not everywhere. Am I missing something here? If it's included in Chrome, why are sites complaining that I haven't got it?

I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 64 bit and Chrome 5.0.375.99. I have a similar problem with my Android Froyo 2.2 phone - the much hyped flash functionality doesn't work on many sites with that too.

Thanks.

In Linux version of Google Chrome (Chromium) doesn't have a build in flash plugin you must install flash from Synaptic.

Thanks, I installed the flash non-free package and now it works. Great :)
