I need to get some health insurance when I make the move to Los in the next month, needing some health insurance I have been checking the net however I have been advised to buy Bupa as they always pay, problem is I ride a scooter and they only pay 200k baht max if you are in an accident.

Am I better getting LMG or Thai visa, as always on the net there is conflicting information I have been told Thai insurance may not pay out !!!

Is it an option to get separate accident insurance on the bike ?

How have you expats managed it.

Thanks in advance guys.

The way you say you are moving to Laos seems to say you are going there to live ? If that is the case then you are not eligible for Thai insurance on your bike. You will need to take Laos insurance for your bike and possibly 'International' insurance for your medical needs.

Los = maybe 'Land of Smiles' ... I would think that even if BUPA insured you could buy a separate Accident policy from ANZ etc. if so concerned. (can of course only collect on one) -- 'Los'?... as Emily Litella would say "Never mind"

GeeWeez.... How very long ago was this episode?

You really made me age at least 10 years tonight !

If you really can not find a suitable insurance coverage to your liking, please pm me. But I would not promise anything either.
