Please allow us to introduce our business to you. We are new sponsors on ThaiVisa.com. We are a visa agency, established in 2001, located in Soi 5 in Jomtien (Pattaya). Our office is right next door to the Honorary British Consulate, and about 25 metres from Chonburi (Pattaya) Immigration Office.

We can assist you in any visa application, for almost any country. Plus, we can assist in arranging your marriage, translations, extensions of stay in Thailand, etc. We have an honesty policy, so please don't ask us to help in any fraudulent, or potentially fraudulent, application.

Before you ask, no, we are not registered with the OISC. The OISC regulates immigration advisers in the UK. We give what we believe to be good, honest advice in a free initial meeting. If you subsequently want us to assist with your application, then that's great. If we don't think, on the information you've given us that you will get a visa, then we will tell you that, and it won't cost you a thing. We give no guarantees that visas will be issued (we believe that nobody is able to guarantee that), nor do we tell you that "no visa equals no fee".

My own contribution to the business is my experience. I have just retired after 40 years in the UK Immigration Service (now the UK Border Agency). I have been an Immigration Officer and Chief Immigration Officer at UK airports and seaports, a Visa Officer at Embassies and High Commissions overseas and an Immigration Liaison Manager in the Middle East and Africa.

We are in the process of updating our website. When it is ready it will include full details of the new English test for settlement visas due to be introduced from 29th November this year. We also hope to have details on the website of at least one UK Border Agency approved English test centre here in Pattaya and another in Bangkok. If you would like to have details as soon as we know them then drop us an email (either from our profile page or from our website) and we will let you have the details as soon as we are able. We also have a Thai Registered Lawyer in the office, she is honest and you will find her fees very reasonable.

We are happy to be part of ThaiVisa.com. We hope that you will, as well as using the wealth of knowledge available on the site, contact us if you think we can help . If you are in the Jomtien area, at the Consulate or Immigration, or just passing by, then call in to say hello. If you have a problem we can assist you with, then we will try our best to help.

Congratulations to you, Sir. It is nice to know the background of persons proferring informed opinions on these 2 Visa Forums rather than from the mystery men who offer no hint whatsoever as to the source of their insight.

Thank you for the welcome, Jazzbo. Having been on the other side of the fence, so to speak, as a visa officer, etc, I hope that my background will be of assistance here. For instance, I saw a post the other day talking about " quotas" for visas. I have heard and seen similar comments elsewhere, and I can say categorically that there is no such thing. I know there will be some who will say that this is not correct, but I can assure you that it is the truth. Now that I am working with a visa agency here, and I am seeing things from a different perspective, I hope that I can bring some balance to some of the posts here. I know that there are posters and moderators who offer a balanced view here, but I'm hoping that my past experience, working in Embassies, will lend some weight in areas of " dispute". Not that I really want to get involved in any disputes ! I'm happy to give advice if, and when, asked. Thanks again for the welcome.

Hi VisasPlus,

Welcome aboard.

Good to see a new sponsor on the forum, particularly one who is prepared to get involved in the forum.

Thanks for giving an overview of your experience and background too.

I see from your website that you provide Australian migration advice and assistance, would love to know your view on the subject matter I posted recently:

Bridge,

Thank you for the welcome. I didn't realise that there is an entrance examination ! I have responded to your query directly. However, I agree with your assessment. The form 1163i is specific, and the Embassy's response seems to be a general response ( ie for all applicants ), and not a response referring to your applicant alone. If your applicant had stated that he/she intended to study or take work in one of the specified occupations, then the Embassy response might be correct. Hasn't this ever come up before in an application ?

Hello Tony, Gatwick North seems such a long time ago now....

Scouse.

Hi R,

It does indeed ! Mind you, I can't seem to escape it wherever I go in the world! I'm always bumping into someone I know, either in person or on the Net. I always read your posts with interest. Keep in touch.

Spot on VisaPlus, that seems to be the case indeed, the Australian Embassy, Bangkok response is general in nature and does not take into account the individual applicant's intentions. To make them all undertake a medical examination is totally inconsistent with the Form 1163i. In fact, the only special

significance requirement that I can see that would necessitate the need for a medical examination is where the applicant is likely to enter a classroom situation for more than 3 months.

Thanks for your input

Think I will change my forum name to The Mystery Man, it has a certain ring to it.

If you do, OG, then can I change mine to "Mystery Boy" so we can offer advice, and maybe fight crime, together!? 55555555555

Seriously, welcome aboard VisasPlus, in my humble opinion the more qualified professionals we have offering advice the better for our members.
