New Hybrid From Toyota Coming Soon?

Featured Replies

Overhead a conversation that a new hybrid other than camry, prius and alphard is coming soon?

Or is there another hybrid other than the 3 mentioned.

Anyone know or did I hear wrong?

Never mind, I think they were mentioning that the Prius will be built in Thailand later this year.

Would this mean the cost of Prius would be lower than the present cost of 2.4mil from private importers?

prius is presently imported, which ads 280% of taxes to the cars price

There are indications it will be made in LOS, and thats 10% excice tax only. Should sell for a million baht

Honda Jazz Hybrid is likely to be made in LOS, and expected to cost 750-850k baht

Toyota will be releasing two new hybrids in Thailand next year, Prius and Prius plug-in.

They are confirmed for 10% excise tax, but at least one of my sources isn't too excited about the model's success because of price point - they say the cheapest Prius will be priced at around the top level Altis, which puts it at ~1.2M Baht. However, I'd just wait and see - the specualtion on Camry Hybrid pricing was off too - when it finally launched it was at a price lower than everyone expected.
