Newly launched airline Virgin Nigeria launched its first international flights between Lagos and Heathrow this week.

The airline has been designated as the private sector flag carrier for Nigeria following the collapse of Nigeria Airways

Domestic flights from Lagos to Abuja and to the oil town of Port Harcourt also started this week.

Flights between Lagos and the Ghanaian capital Accra begin on July 20

What's his e-mail address Rinrada? I flew Virgin last time but only to HK, then had to get onward flight to BKK. There are over 20,000 members on TV now, with a very large proportion of them Brits. If we all get together and flood his inbox, he will have to take notice and also see what a business opportunity he is missing out on.

Had an American friend who worked for an oil company in Nigeria once.

He had a company car and driver.

They were on the road and they hit a villager and killed him.

The driver jumped out, threw the body into a ditch beside the road, and started throwing leaves and branches over the body.

"Hurry up", he told my American friend,"If we get the body covered up before anyone sees us, we can get out of here before the police come. No one will ever know we killed this guy."

It seems it is common to pay compensation to the family or village headman if you have an road accident that kills someone from the village.

If you can get away from the accident before it is discovered, you may not have to pay any compensation.
