September 5, 201015 yr Hi i was invited to a music night in a bar called CU corner. This was my first venture into this 'quatier' of town. And it did feel a bit like a European 'Quatier. Noarrow streets, very quiet, little traffic, little bars, lots of ambience... Located in Soi 1 and 2 Muang mang? )(not sure of the spelling) First 2 sois on the east side of the moat....really lovely area. david
September 6, 201015 yr It is a nice friendly little bar, although lacking in parking. you may also wish to try Guitarman near the night bazzar or Riva just near to Mike's Burgers on the moat if you want live music on Weds nights.
September 6, 201015 yr I also enjoy CU corner but Unfortunately both soy 1 and 2 are disreputable GI Joe in soy 1 is packed with older working girls As is Happy Bar, Half Moon and On & On in soy 2 The Orchid and CU corner are pretty "straight" once you get past the "hansum man" lot. September 6, 201015 yr I don't know, that whole area feels a bit too trendy and up-market to me. And prices aren't getting any lower either, they wanted 30 baht for a small-ish Sang Som Coke at Half Moon! Fortunately the sunny attitude from the woman who runs the place made up for it, to an extent. Edited September 6, 201015 yr by WinnieTheKhwai
