There are a few of them I like (but its probably the same one as they all sound the same.)

The one about the girl who gets dumped by her boyfreind for a girl that wears Mini Skirts and high heels, and likes Pizza. She keeps saying are you sure she will make you happy cause she's a tart.

Go for it buddy I say, dont want to be stuck with a miss Goody Two (flat) shoes, what a whinger!

Good for a sing a long- I am sure everybodys heard it.

I liked it so much I bought the company (er CD) sorry

Cheers

Oh I like Taxi too- the bald headed guy, I can sing that Kareoke style (awfully) :o

Thanks IvanLaw, I know ethai very well. I just can't seem to find any good entertainmnet news concerning Thai artists, no matter how hard I look.

Taxi is a good band, ThaiPauly. I really like Silly Fools and Big Ass, but I am always looking for more.

Thanks for your posts. :o

I first saw them about 3 years ago at Hollywood Ratchada, before they made the big time.

I've seen them since at various concerts including this years Pattaya Music Festival... they really rock!

I like the Issan music called 'Maw Lam'. A lot of it sounds much the same but still good to listen to over a few changs! :o

The missus likes an old band called "The Impossibles" - somewhat dated music although good.

Do you like Thai Music? If so, what kind? What artists? Does anyone know where to get info on Thai music in english?

I'm certainly a bit of a fan of Thai music although not the traditional stuff. My favourite band here is called Silly Fools and they are mostly heavier type rock although you do get some ballads thrown in there as well. Loso is another Thai band I like and they are also rock orientated although they do quite alot more ballad (slower more than ballad i guess) type stuff. Bodyslam aren't too bad either and as you can see I do prefer the harder type rock type of music.

As for info on Thai music in English I'm sorry to say I can't help you in that department as I only listen to it all in Thai although going off the previous posts you won't have any trouble finding any.

If you like some good rock then I can't recommend Silly Fools enough.I played a couple of CD's for some friends in Aus when I was there recently and they all loved it and wanted me to burn them a copy. :o

Same here. I think morlam is just great. Very colourful music.

Jintara and Rock Sadeurk are two female morlam singers that come to mind.

I find most of the pop music here is simply boring, a rehash of western influence.

And the love songs? :o

Not a big fan of Thai music. Think alot of it sounds the same. IMHO. But there is one band that i bought a CD from(see myother thread regarding this) But the band are called Acappella 7. The Album is called Mouth to Mouth. One of my favourite songs is called 1,2,3. Check them out. Different than most Thai music. IMO.

Couldn't agree more. I was first hooked on Silly Fools with their album Mint and have been a huge fan ever since. Also Big Ass, Blackhead, Sek Loso, Saturday Seiko, & Chocolate Kit. I just can never find any news no what these bands are doing, like new releases and stuff. I just keep checking www.ethaicd.com all the time looking for the new stuff.

Jockstar, Penzman, Boon Mee, thanks for the recommandations always looking for different stuff. Music is one of the things I can't ever get enough of. :D

'Rock Sadeurt' is a group not a pooying and not morlam either, Jintara sings mainly luktung these days, well she always has right from the start. Her two early hits were both luktung. Luktung is far more comercial than morlam but she usually has one or two morlam songs on her luktung sa orn series, number 11 is the latest. Her morlam singing is wonderful and she based her style on Pimjai who is now about 60 I think. I have seen her the most-30 times and never gets boring one of my favourite songs is rak sa loei dog fai baan and her second hit warn puan kean jot mai when she was about 18. She has just made a film which should be out next year. Last year she was awarded two honourary degrees, one from home in Roi et and one from sakhon nahkon. I think she is the only singer ever to have recieved such honours.

Thai music is the greatest thing about thailand, can get sex and booze anywhere after all :D So many great singers but a few I admire are Pumpuang Duangchan, Honey Sri Issan (both long dead) Sunarlee Rachesima, Tai Orathai, Deang Jitakorn, Monsit Khomsoi, Siriporn Ampaipong, Mike Piromporn, Nok Noi Ulraiporn and band, Job and Joy, Yui Yatt Yerr and Banyen Raggen, Yew Penpeyom,Jinatara is my favourite I think

I agree with what you say about string and detest it with a passion, don't regard it as thai music myself, it just sounds like thai's singing a western style, but then I don't even like songs for life either. Could go on about this all day but have to go out-peter

How big is the file? If it's not huge just e-mail it to your personal e-mail address. I send music this way all the time and have no worries. Just add it as an attachment and away you go.

If you need a program to play any music (mp3, wmv etc) thaibebop just send me a personal mail and I should be able to help you out. Cheers and hope this helps.

Jockstar knows how big the file is. I have the software needed, but when I was trying to sample the songs at ethaicd.com I couldn't get RealOne Player to work and I could use windows media. I am going to try the RealOne again a little later. Thanks Jimmy, always a help. :D
