As far as I am aware, thai people do not need a visa for Cambodia. If you are going to read my history... read it, don't glance over it and respond incorrectly.

I also posted a response to the average wage for thais topic, and stayed on topic quoting that my gf only earned 8300 per month despite holding a very good bunch of university degrees, only to have replies about my girlfriend and her family's intentions towards me, and that they insinuating that she was maybe a prostitute and a liar.

Well, the OP is probably aware of the report button which is helpful to use when someone flagrantly insults someone else. I know some prefer not to use it, but its a more positive result than responding to insults with more insults.

So which accusation are refuting, that a prostitute can not be a liar or that a liar can not be a prostitute or that your gf is none of that and you still insist that she has a bunch of degrees and get 8300 every 30 days?

I certainly would not say your girlfriend was a bar girl. I would say that 'maybe'she's lazy or did not choose her bunch of degrees very well or did not choose her job very well. Please understand that Thai visa is like a book. If you think the content is rubbish, all you need to do is put it aside and read another story. Much simpler then trying to rewrite the book and change the original content. This goes for threads, posts and the complete outfit.

I can assure everyone that running a forum like this in Thailand is no easy task. There are always those who believe they can do better, that is the same in all businesses, but like the farm girl said to the loud mouth yob trying to chat her up; if your dick is as big as your mouth is? I rarely post on Thai visa unless its of benefit to myself, for example using it as a great reference tool. However if you post in the general topic forum you will get huge numbers of posters that seem to spend at least 4 hours a day posting hundreds of posts a month that will disagree in some way and the only way to get your point across is to spend your whole day as they do and try to bring them round to your way of thought.

My advice is dont be like the many sad posters that spend half their day in front of a computer and don't actually leave the room to experience the culture and people as their advice is worth very little as you can only experience something by doing it and practising it.

Thai visa is a great site but there are a small group of sad super posters that think they know it all, I am quite happy to ignore these "experts ha ha" and I suggest you do to.

Why, I recall the the very important thread on how to identify a kathoey and there were very good suggestions on how to look for the hairy knuckles, the bulging adams apples, the muscular calves, the man hands, and the deep voice when the Kathoey became agitated or excited. And then some idiot came along and said you can tell a kathoey because she/he/it may often have a penis and testicles. How idiot is that? It's not like I can just go up to one and stick my hand down its bloomers and feel around. Why, I could get beaten up. Kathoeys have super manly strength and can easily beat up even the most muscular of farangs. Kathoeys use their mesmerizing eyes to put farangs into a trance state causinging the victim to become putty in the hands of a Kathoey. It's exactly like what the snake does to Mogli in the Jungle Book.

I also agree with the OP about the idiot brigade when it comes to health issues. I just don't understand why anyone would ridicule such important health advice as "colonic irrigation" as a means to treat and cure cancer, malaria, TB and the curse of dandruff. I know that some people have new ideas on how to hook up the garden hose to their rectum to facilitate the process, but the idiots of TV discourage them from sharing their important information. I also resent these idiots that mock and insult people that are able to share scientific breakthroughs on how they have solved HIV or how aliens descended up their Rayong abode and abducted them for some intense anal probing. So to you OP, yes I agree, these idiots really do impede the exchange of important ideas that we really need to know about.

I am working on a way of blocking them from reading my thoughts. Unfortunately, I think some Redshirts acting in conjunction with some yellowhirts under the order of some blueshirts, who are really greenshirts bought up all the aluminum foil at the supermarket. They won't let you, but they are such hypocrites, many of the Google ads are for that exact subject, which is how they make their money.

As a webmaster myself, I can tell you they could block those ads if they wanted to, but that would cut down on their income.

It seems to me that its mostly the newbies that are insulating and trollish here. During the red shirt rally we got a sudden influx of new members - which in intself is not an isue. However, it seems a lot of those kiddie posters that frequent YouTube and many forums around the net taht spit out vittiol at every opportunity - hijacking every thread they post in and attack posts and posters with bigotted insults - many of these posts are posted in the early hours and are obviously from people that have nothing to do with Thailand at all, but just use it as a playground during recess!

I've been here a fair while now (since early 2003) and I have a distinct feeling that there is a real need to boost the amount of moderators - it seems that some posts, usually the most popular/political ones, are well moderated (perhaps even overly so sometimes), but other post go wothout so much as a visit from a mod. I realise that much is reliant on reported posts, but it is not always so easy to pick a specific post when a hijacking or attack is taking place - they are not allways straight flames. I feel that the mods are sprading themselves too thin. I rememebr people gettign abnned very easily in the old days - Blue Cat, Whirlwind, and many more - seems as time has gone by people are allowed much more flaming freedom than these poor sods got.

New members getting negative points need to be looked at - and should be dealt with more severely. We need to attract the right sort of people, not the morons that do nothing to help the site and just derail the thread and upset the posters. These people should be discouraged.

The culprits seem to be the same people over and over again - there may be need to record their IP Address so when the reregister using a different Hotmail address, at least you can keep an eye on them from the go.
