Harris Confronts Trump’s Remarks on Her Identity with Calls for Unity and Respect
Black. White. Indian. Jamaican. Caucasian. Irish. Hindu. Christian. Atheist. Privileged. Underprivileged. American Descendant of Slaves. Descendant from slaveholders. There is only one identity that matters when it comes to Kamala Harris: She is a COMMUNIST. -

Ex-Pats targeted on Sky Train
In Thailand, if you are born into a rich family, by the time you are old you may be the family patriarch and really rich. If you were born into a poor family, in old age you get a government pension of 600 B per month (not per hour). They raised this to 6000 for some, and lowered it to 0 for some of the poorest. Even 6000 per month do not allow for a luxurious lifestyle, so if you had the bad luck to be born in Bangkok (meaning you cannot move back to your village) you are happy for any discount you can get. If you are old and were born into a middle class family - oh, 70 years ago there were very few middle class familes in Thailand. BTW in Western Europe, many pensioners get less than 1000 €/month, some just 500. OTOH those old people who had had a good job or a good piece of land, they are very well off now. -

So the controversy was actually good for US ratings. Is the US doing well or poorly? That usually has an effect as well. -

5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
It seems to me, one would need to be applying using funds in a Thai or Laos bank if applying in Laos. If in Malaysia, Cambodia, etc- same, same. This may not be the rule now, but I suspect it will be soon. Yes, those bank-letters could be faked, but Immigration accepts them in-country, and they are as tough as it gets. Even the "agent" generated bank-letters ones are real - hence needing to put funds in the account (briefly) to get one generated. As to the fake-app - a day or two of work from a basic-template, including working links - all just pulling up static-files/images. I predict that will not be accepted for long either. -

A potential association between COVID-19 vaccination and development of alzheimer's disease
The article as published on May 24th, 2024 in Oxford Academic - QJM (International Journal of Medicine) also features this graphical abstract. This large study, conducted in Seoul, South Korea, analyzed data from a random 50% sample of city residents aged 65 and above, totaling 558 017 individuals. Findings showed an increased incidence of MCI and AD in vaccinated individuals, particularly those receiving mRNA vaccines, within three months post-vaccination. The mRNA vaccine group exhibited a significantly higher incidence of AD (odds ratio [OR]: 1.225; 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.025–1.464; P = 0.026) and MCI (OR: 2.377; CI: 1.845–3.064; P < 0.001) compared to the unvaccinated group. No significant relationship was found with vascular dementia or Parkinson’s disease. -

Wrong! I hate MAGA. Trump told me who he was back in 2015 and not one thing he says or does surprises me. You MAGA are so vile I can't make out how each of you had the great opportuntities to educate in Amerc and you MAGA decided a cult was a better fit. -

On Nut Ghetto
Unfortunately, due to wife's work we had to move close to On Nut. Not too close, but still close enough. Since I first saw Thailand with my own eyes, On Nut always seemed sketchy to me. I mean as the name implies, you are just there to nut, but over the years it has become a ground zero for losers around the world. First, let us observe Tesco Lotus near On Nut station. Why is it that every white dude, in their 20's all the way to their 70's brings their hooker to shop for vegetables? It just screams "look at my trophy, I am so cool". Only if "The food court" - probably the hub of all the bacteria and microbes collected around the world brought to you by a budget airline. The place is just disgusting to look at' let alone eat.... and I don't blame Thais for this. "The cool spots" - like the W district. Yeah, right..... another hooker central and occasional Gen Z crowd who think they are hanging out with "cool" Thais while in fact they are interacting with hookers. Did I mention prostitutes? You would think Nana and Soi Cowboy are a mecca of illicit activity, but you would be wrong. Cheap condos. Man o man.... the travesty of bad maintenance just creams here. Surrounded by great developers who like to name their condo "Idiot" this would be a great place to observe at what happens when you buy a placed to live in Thailand. Of course, there are no malls – as a seasoned and cool Farang, you must hate malls. You've been here too long, and mingling with your Thai friends is part of the cool vibe. But let's be honest, malls are fantastic and there aren't any near On Nut. Tesco and Century Plaza don’t count – after all, Century Plaza is a plaza, not a mall. Just think about it... even the outskirts have big, impressive malls. So why not have one in On Nut?
