Tv Documentary "Bride Trafficking Unveiled"

Featured Replies

Hi I am an American man happily married to my lovely Olichka for ten years. There is a TV "documentary" on the Current channel called Bride Trafficking Unveiled, being repeatedly aired.

This is how Current TV describes it. "Laura Barry investigates why Ireland is experiencing a growth in so-called mail order brides arriving on it's shores. Traveling to Thailand and the Philippines, she meets the women at the heart of the story, their new husbands and the men profiting from these often very unhappy marriages and asks the question, are mail order brides simply trafficked women who are being exploited by legal loopholes in UK law?"

I find it to be an extremely insulting stereotype of international couples and agencies. You can watch it on the Current TV website and make comments. Because there is many negative comments already, from the last time they played it about 20 days ago, I thought maybe they wouldn't play it anymore. But to my dismay they aired it yesterday and again early this morning. You may like to watch it, post a comment or better yet find the feedback email and give Current TV your thoughts.

I am trying to mount a campaign, so if you know any other places to post this feel free to do so. Thank you. The linkhttp://current.com/groups/on-current-tv/92357386_bride-trafficking-unveiled.htm
