High-Speed Big Bike Crash into Fortuner at U-Turn Leaves 1 Dead, 4 Injured
A crash occurred when a high-speed, unregistered big bike crashed into the rear of a Toyota Fortuner waiting at a U-turn in Ban Khai District, Rayong, resulting in one fatality and four injuries. The incident took place on the night of November 25, near the U-turn at the three-way Scout Camp intersection in Ban Khai, Rayong. Local police and rescue volunteers from Sawang Porakun Foundation responded to the scene upon receiving reports of the collision. Upon arrival, authorities encountered a large crowd of onlookers, causing traffic to back up for over two kilometres. At the scene, a black big bike was found severely damaged, with oil spilling across the road. The rear of the white Toyota Fortuner was completely crushed. One fatality was reported at the scene, a Burmese man named Ta, who was riding the big bike with another individual, Mi, who sustained injuries. It remains unclear who was driving, as both were ejected from the motorcycle upon impact. The big bike had no license plate. Preliminary investigations revealed that the Fortuner and other vehicles were waiting at the U-turn when the speeding big bike clipped a male student’s motorcycle, injuring him, before crashing full force into the Fortuner. The impact caused the rear of the Fortuner to veer sideways. Inside the vehicle, a Chinese woman sitting in the backseat suffered serious injuries. Residents noted that accidents frequently occur at this U-turn, with some resulting in fatalities. Poor lighting and reckless speeding are believed to be contributing factors. Police from Ban Khai Station collected evidence to pursue legal action and address the recurring dangers at this location. Picture and video from responders. -- 2024-11-27 -

Thai housemaid’s 100 million baht fortune hits a legal snag
She did everything wrong. She bypassed the Thai laws paying some Thais to use their names as 51% ownership so she could open her business and buy land using the business name. Although it is common practice to do it this way with foregners wanting to open a business, that does not make it legal. So many foreigners open their businesses this way skirting Thai laws and think it is ok to do it. But that does not change the facts they broke the laws and when caught will lose everything they invested and earned in their business. I feel bad for the maid, she should get something. But the French womans actions can not be denied. I hope other foreigners in this site pay hede to what can happen when the authorities find out they opened their businesses this way. -

However, officials have confirmed that no one was injured in the incident, which unfolded due to a malfunction with a bed restraint. The incident took place on 18th November 1967, at a hospital in Мahasarakham Province, Thailand. According to the Kosum Phisai Police Station, the uproar began when the metal bar from a hospital bed came loose, causing the patient to become agitated and alarming hospital staff. Fortunately, the situation was quickly brought under control without any harm to personnel. The clip, shared on TikTok by @say8035, depicted scenes of panic as nurses hurriedly evacuated a room with a shirtless patient, clad in blue hospital trousers, grasping a bed bar and giving chase. The footage, lasting 26 seconds, prompted numerous comments and concerns about the safety of nursing professionals. In further commentary on her post, the uploader explained that the patient was brought to the hospital by family members for treatment after suffering an intense drug-induced episode. Typically, patients exhibiting such behaviour are restrained by both hands to prevent outbreaks of violence. However, in this instance, the patient's mother requested her son be restrained by only one hand out of compassion. This leniency inadvertently led to the restraint being compromised, allowing the patient to detangle the bar and escalate the situation. A swift response from hospital staff and police ensured no injuries occurred, and the patient was restrained. On 27th November, local journalists were informed by officers at the Kosum Phisai Police Station that the patient, a 22-year-old man referred to as "Mr. A," had a history of psychiatric issues exacerbated by drug use. Living with his grandmother, he was taken by police to the hospital at his parents’ request for assessment. During his stay, to prevent any escape attempts, one hand was bound to the bed as a precaution. The patient, however, managed to unfasten the metal bed bar and became agitated, though no harm was done to others. Police were quickly notified and secured "Mr. A" before transferring him to Thanyarak Hospital in Khon Kaen for further psychiatric evaluation and treatment, reported Daily News. -- 2024-11-27 -

85 Illegal Migrant Workers to Be Deported After Raid in Chonburi Authorities apprehended 110 migrant workers in a crackdown on illegal immigration at a construction worker camp in Nong Yai District, Chonburi Province. Of those detained, 85 were found to have entered Thailand illegally and will be deported, according to police reports.
