I think you can go to immigration and get it transferred...for a fee of course...

Maybe someone can confirm this...

I also remember reading that even though the passport is cancelled the Visa/entry permit still remains valid.

Produce both passports at Immigration and they'll put the visa in the new passport without charge :o
