Different Dates On Visa And Entry Stamp - Which Counts?

Recommended Posts

Hi all

I have a non-immigrant 'O' visa, due to expire 14 October. On entry into Thailand earlier this month following a trip out of the country, the immigration official gave me a stamp which says "admitted until 10 Dec" - 90 days after date of entry.

So which date counts? Can I just turn up at the airport before 10 December to leave, or will I risk imprisonment by not sticking to the 14 October date?

Many thanks in advance for all those sensible folks who help here! I'm sure it's not just me in this situation...

And if this is covered by another thread - apologies - please point me the right way.

:)

So that's good news then, right? Thanks very much.

Your Visa expires on 14th October.

Your permision to stay expires on 10th December. This is the date that counts and the date you must leave by.

Yes, it's good news.

As Lite Beer states, your visa will expire on the 14th of October, however your permission to stay in Thailand will not expire until the 10th of December.
