Just came across another forum much like this one and worryingly read a post about a guy applying for a settlement visa for his wife.

He has stated that you can only apply on line for a settlement visa. I have just downloaded all the documents needed for my wifes visa and at the top it states you can fill this form in with iether a blue or black pen

Is he right? Any help anyone please.

A settlement visa is a visa which allows a person to live and settle in the UK, usually as a spouse, partner, child, etc. A visit visa, for instance, would only a person to visit.

Sorry to drag up an old thread.....but I've just read the above, however when you go to the application website and check the countries that support online applications Thailand is listed as not accepting these - see the link below :
