i keep giving a look about once a month but only have one drink and leave dissapointed. the ladys go in sit at the first bar on the left, have the free drinks, then go. really boring. owner keeps trying though but more fun in the bars on the bars on the walk down to the beer garden. not sure if the free drink rule is still on or not, food i have heard is good

Recently ordered their nacho plate. I thought I was on Candid Camera because the plate had 10 nachos arranged in a circle with a blob of salsa on each. I refused it as anyone who has ever had a nacho plate knows it's a stacked gooey mess.

Thai menu is first class, good size portions and very reasonable prices.

Aroi mak.

Draft Tiger or Heineken at 45Bht also great value

I quite often see some good looking ladies sitting at the main bar, open to conversation ;-)

I agree. Whenever I am in Pattaya I always spend an hour or two in here. Being by the water is very relaxing, and the ladies are nice too. Not tried the food but the drinks are good and the overall ambience is excellent I would say.

Full marks to the owners for trying hard.

I need to start going to this place more. It's such a good value. No barfines. :)

Last time I was there about a year ago, I stumbled upon a freelance rental. Too old for my tastes, but I'm wondering if I just came at a bad time..

Chops, can you elaborate on this reference to a freelance "rental"?!

But I enjoyed your excellent pun: Too old for my tastes, but I'm wondering if I just came at a bad time..

It's definitely not a pick-up place, but a great place to meet with friends for a quite beer and a chat.

I agree. I have not been for a while but I really like the place and you can take some great photos at dusk.

Can anyone remind me of approximate bottled beer prices?

I seem to remember that a TV get-together started there 12 months ago.

Please don't bother as it will be against forum rules and I will only have to delete the post

Maybe it should have read "Too old for her taste but I'm wondering if..........." :whistling:

I usually frequest the place when I am in town as I can get some cold beer and readsonable Thai food without the hassle of the restaurant thing.

I like it, seems to have a fair few customers when I`ve been in.

I guess it`s luck of the draw with freelancers, one time recently was there just for drinks with friends and there was a dozen or so in there,

another time went alone and wasn`t much choice at all.

Food seemed OK when I`ve eaten there, not often.

To answer syd, I think my Tiger bottles were 60 baht give or take 5 baht.

Leo bottles are 55 baht.

Can of diet coke a very reasonable 30 baht, cheaper than many other bars.

Good place to meet up with friends for drinks and a chat, music volume very low.

i agree its not as good and i have spent manyaa day in BG BKK

BUT

lets look at the menu

you will pay 3 to 4 times as much for chicken legs in BKK

and at the end of the day chicken is chicken unless its been marinated or tenderised

THANKS again this is making me laugh and thats what its all about

kdaB) B) B) :jap: :D

where is this beer garden located???

On the right hand side just before you go through the walking street arch, you can see it sticking out into the sea as you come down beach road.

Great place for a relaxing drink and good eats at very reasonable rates.

Plenty of women every time i go there but quality is not that great.

The serving girls are often better looking - and friendlier - that the freelancers. Unfortunately they are generally unavailable.
