Kachanaburi Holiday

I am planning a trip to Kachanaburi in Oct. to see the sites. I can spend up to 7 days there but I am unsure of how many days are needed to see the bridge, and other attractions. Also I would appreciate a recommendation on a good hotel for around 1500 baht or less that offers WiFi and has hot water along with smoking rooms and car parking. Thanks in advance.

Plenty of choices around in Kanchanaburi. Having lived there previously, and still go back to visit I have always found Xanadu to be excellent value for money, and also in a really nice setting. It is a family run business, and not to big - only 10 bungallows - just outside of the main town but in a nice location on the river. The food is of a good standard, and everybody else that I know who has stayed there has had good things to stay.

Lots to do and see, for sure 7 days in this neck of the woods should keep you happy and occupied.
